writing/

I have written over ten novels, five screenplays, several spec scripts for Television, and quite a few short stories. I created and developed an animated series and wrote for Hanna Barbera. I wrote independent comics while at Syracuse University and drew for my college paper, The Daily Orange.

If you are interested in reading some of my work, please visit the YA novella blog I wrote featuring the teenage space spy, PENNY McNICKEL. Or visit my movie/TV blog Pete Saves Hollywood! where I tell you how I'd fix movies, TV shows and other media using my mutant abilities as a great writer.

You can also listen to an audio drama I wrote, or go buy my novel MAN FROM ZERO on Amazon.  Here's the cover:

I have taken part in National Novel Writing Month seven times and won (finished) five times.

I now only partake in NaNoWriMo during odd years as I really need to focus on editing the first drafts I already have.  However, I do like to keep my novel-writing muscle (aka my brain) flexed, so I still do it.

I have quite a bit of experience writing in various formats and have a pretty solid grasp of how to tell a story in just about any format. I graduated from Syracuse University with a BFA in Film/Drama and wrote for children's animation for a few years in Los Angeles.  I am currently a New York City resident developing several properties across a few media and a few genres.  Keep an eye on my blog at nichollspete.com or follow me on Twitter to keep up with what I'm doing.  You can also subscribe to my newsletter (the form is in the sidebar)!

I have copywriting experience!  For 2 years-ish I worked for ArticleInsider.com (it had a different name when I started with them) around 2003/4 and you can still see my work on their website.  I stopped working for them because they switched from copy to technical writing, which is not exactly my specialty.  Copywriting is definitely something I can do.

Don't forget to visit my blog explaining how I would help Hollywood tell better stories if only they'd let me.
